Happy 24, Mevi!

It's never too late for birthday surprise, as long as it is still m(a)y month.

After class My B pick me up at Campus, we go to Pasar Festival, Kuningan. I don't know why, he ask me to have some karaoke there (since I know, we had a karaoke a year ago).. and tadaaaa... I got my birthday surprise from my Girls, Tya, Balqis, Uci, Vicky and Risma. They already made a conspiracy with my B,hmm okay fine. I thought my birthday is just like an introspection day, since my birthday is on 20 May, on weekdays and I'm busy with my some-daily-routine (read; a half worker and a half student). Also when I'm turning to 24, My B is a 'lil bit annoyed me. Ergh..

Surprisingly!!! 4 days after my birthday, he give me surprise.
Thank you so much dear my B and my girls, I'm a happiest birthday girl on earth.

Hope this year bring me a lot of happiness and my dreams come true. Keep on with my hard work, be blessed in every step that I make.

Hello Kota Lumpia!

Long time no see, Semarang.
One of my favorite city since my childhood, just like my second hometown after Pekalongan. Here we go, Semarang.. I took the train from Stasiun Senen to Semarang Tawang at 4 pm and approximately takes 7 hours to go.

Finally arrived in Semarang at 11 pm. My cousins pick me up at Stasiun Semarang Tawang. After that we went to River View Cafe, Simpang Lima. Ok, I'm a bit hungry yet sleepy. I eat some fish and chips and went to my Aunty's house.

In the morning, I attending my cousin's wedding reception at Gedung IAIN Semarang, so close to my aunty's house and no traffic jam like Jakarta. That's why I love Semarang.

Tahu Gimbal
Tahu Gimbal?? I often hear this Semarang traditional food, known as Tahu Gimbal. Believe it or not, this is the first time I tried this food. Tahu gimbal made with tofu, plus cabbage, sprouts and some vegetables, shrimp and eggs smothered in peanut sauce dressing, like ketoprak in Jakarta. The taste is so yummy.

After culinary night, I went to Bandeng Juwana, Pusat Oleh-Oleh Semarang. There are many snacks, gift and traditional food that you can buy, such as Wingko Babat, Bandeng Fish, Enting-Enting, etc. I bought some traditional food for my friends and go home because tomorrow I'll back to Jakarta.

Thank you Semarang. I'll see you soon.
